What a weird name for a post.

Basically I just regretted doing two things today, and coincidentally both of them are related to coffee.

First: I regretted wasting 1 dollar, out of the remaining 2 dollars that I had, to buy a iCafe cappucino at the school canteen. The can was green in colour and I had never seen it before. So I bought it just to taste. Ugh. Basically it tasted like rotten green tea leaves steeped in coffee.

Next. I regretted buying a coffee pudding from Blue Tea. I should have stuck to my favourite chocolate or custard flavours. The coffee pudding was not as bad as the cappucino, but it was still horrible.

So what else did I do today??

I went to Coro to photocopy scores, went to get some money, came back, and just doodled around. Blah blah blah.

Ah. And I also got B3 for my Maths today. Which was great, because I had been failing my Maths for the past two tests; without the moderation and the retest to help me I would have died.

Hell no. I would not die for Maths. It’s just so pointless.

Today’s Australian Maths Competition was… ok, I guess. The last ten questions were terribly hard. Fortunately I think I managed to do quite well, as I did at least 2 questions correct out of the Top 5.

***

My life is so boring. Last Chinese lesson we discussed about near-death experiences. Some people in my class nearly drowned before, some fell and were quite badly injured. Not me. Without taking Murphy’s Law into consideration, my life was, up till now, pretty safe and boring. Which is good, in a sense.

But life is meant to be lived freely and dangerously, no?

As I am typing this, I am still weighed down by the implications of what will happen if I do not finish the stupid lun wen tomorrow. AND I still do not understand why my computer can no longer type Chinese out of a sudden.

I fully believe in libertarianism. Why should I stress myself out doing a 1500-word long lun wen just for ACE? I am planning to do a Flash game and something else during sabbatical week. That, coupled with my Project’s Day, should max out my Chinese ACE.

The teacher was like “lf you don’t do your lun wen then you won’t have any ACE…” Pathetic.

Another instance of me hating the subject but not the teacher.

Only one instance where I truly hate the teacher.

Damn her. During the Q&A session in the IHC lesson, I was just holding my thumbdrive in my hand. And she DARED to take it away. And gave it back only after she saw it was a thumbdrive. What did she expect? A ticking time bomb? It wasn’t like I could not multitask. In fact I wasn’t even concentrating on that thumbdrive. But her stupid brain, which is outdated by twenty years, could not process this, I expect.

Those who know me will know that I, who avoids direct confrontations, will naturally stay quiet but look furious. I guess I just don’t have the guts to create a scene, like Foong Wai.

***

Came up with a new acronym today.

Information
Technology
Spontaneous
Failure

Behold the wonder of acronyms. I credit Bo Jun with that.

During English lesson presentations, the abovementioned …. thing, walked to the computer and the LAN connection instantly became limited.

It was so funny. I had long thought that spastic people has auras.

Coincidentially, the thing’s brain works like a massive computer failure. Except that it is in constant (not spontaneous) failure.

“Shi-Jie is a fan of IT.” — Many

***

By the way, I will not come up with “Back from the hiatus” posts anymore. Because there are just too many hiatuses. I guess I shall just write what I feel. Not record events.

Hmm… hope that my blog won’t die out anymore.

And good luck… to those coming for Boarding Programme on Sunday.

I was woken up at approximately 6.30 am, by Zi Kang and Eng Keat who is going to Indonesia today, and won’t come back until Saturday. Bon voyage to both of them! Hope they have a sweet time in BiNus School Indonesia

For the first time in ages, there is no flag raising today!!! And also for this week. Therefore I took my time eating breakfast.

The leadership sabbatical is held in the Space, but it was not open till 7.50 pm. The first thing was an intro by Angeline Chan, about how privileged we are to be in this sabbatical, blah blah blah. Then they sorted us into groups of 9, to be attached to one of the four student coordinators. My group (which consists of also Justin, Kok Leong, a 3Q guy who was from Sarawak, and four others) is attached to Kenii Takashima, incidentally Zi Kang’s senior. He was the latest SC to come and the earliest SC to go. Slacker~

Since Kenii was not here during the intro, Angeline Chan babysat us and conducted an activity. She gave us a roll of toilet paper and asked us to tear off the amount of paper we need if we were to be stranded on an island for a month. Since I was the last to take, I took the whole roll. Then she told us to write one thing about ourselves for every segment of toilet paper we took, on the toilet roll itself! Environmentally friendly 多. Thank goodness she capped it at 15 segments, or I could have written to death.

Then it was a presentation on Leadership Theories by Jason Wong. He is actually quite funny and vibrant, like Ng Seaw Choon, who keeps on digressing. After that was a 40-minute break, which I find not enough! The schedule was so packed.

After the break, we watched “Remember the Titans”. Great movie. Then Kenii (who finally came) held a lengthy discussion with us about the leadership elements inside the movie, like Coach Boone, Coach Yoast, Julius and Gerry, etc. I keep getting KSed. Like I was thinking of a point, and was about to express it, while a Sec 4 promptly spoke that point out. Anyway the discussion turned into a debate between two or three people. Sian~ The sabbatical ended at 1.30 pm.

We were supposed to visit BH Global Marine and Mediacorp on Tuesday and Thursday respectively, wearing CORPORATE ATTIRE. Shirt, non-HCI tie, non-HCI long pants, black socks, black shoes. Oh, and a belt too. Outrageously they did not tell this to us in advance, which made many of us resort to borrowing bits and pieces from friends. I borrowed a belt from Chern Yuen. Darn it! I seriously do not see the point in wearing a belt purely for cultural and aesthetic purposes, when my pants fit me perfectly.

Now starting to transfer my stuff from ZK’s computer into mine, via the hard drive. Still waiting for the antivirus to finish scanning the hard drive…

Ferralucis

First of all, a very HAPPY MOTHER”S DAY to mothers all over the world!

Today my parents came down to Singapore to visit me and Zi Kang, after going for a function in JB on Saturday. They took us out to the Prata House to eat one of our favourite foods in Singapore. Then we went to my cousin’s house in Bukit Timah and they gave me my new computer.

My new computer is so cool! It’s a HP Pavilion dv2711TX, a high-performance PC with remote control and fingerprint reader, Windows Vista Home Premium, 2.00 GHz Dual Core Processor and 2 GB of RAM. As it is with other new HP Pavilion computers, it has a sleek, flowery pattern on the body of the computer. These coupled with the excellent graphics of a typical Vista OS made me fall in love with it immediately, tarnished only by the fact that among the two of us, Zi Kang was the first to touch the computer. *Mock Anger*

After some marveling over the computer, we went to eat at a restaurant with my aunt, who lives in MacPherson. Originally we planned to go to a pizzeria to eat, but then my father changed his mind and ate at a restaurant near my aunt’s house instead. Not to say that I regretted it. The food was so great that I ate a lot, compared to my diet at the boarding school.

We went back to my cousin’s house after lunch to wait for my cousin and her husband, who just came back from UK. They brought with them a box of wondrous chocolates that was originally 30 pounds, but the price dropped to 5 pounds because the expiry date was nearing. After consuming nearly half the box of chocs we went back to the boarding school.

The rest of the day I spent unpacking the loads of foodstuff my mother bought, looking through the features of the computer and installing Microsoft Office 2007 and 3D Studio Max. I went to sleep, thinking of what will be waiting in store for me tomorrow, when I will be joining the HCI Leadership Sabbaticals…

*************************************************************************************************************************

The week that just passed was terrible for me. I woke up on Monday feeling terrible, with something that seemed like blood plasma leaking out from wounds on my neck. My eczema has resurfaced again. *Groan x100* During the day, the plasma dried, which resulted in my neck becoming raw and extremely painful to turn. This made me seem like a robot as I now turned my waist instead of my neck, and walked with my head down.

The next day, it became worse, spreading to my thighs and waist as well. Now I seemed even more like a robot that limps and has severe pains in the legs and neck. I felt really terrible, like I was being burnt in Hell. On Wednesday night, I discovered something extremely unpleasant: that the plasma did not stop leaking when I washed it away, but still continued leaking. I swore that I would see the doctor on Thursday, rain or shine.

The next day was as worse. My face and arms dried out completely. Zi Kang said that my face was completely screwed except for the cheeks. Indeed, I had a large patch of dried, dead skin on one side of my face, and my forehead and neck was flaking like hell. Once I got back to my room, I immediately dug out a small tube of QV cream, peeled off all the flaking skin from my face and applied QV cream all over before going to the doctor. The doctor prescribed some medicine, cream and a bottle of potassium permanganate solution (used to sterilize and clean skin wounds caused by eczema). That bottle of KMnO4 became my savior, as I immediately felt much better after applying the solution and cream.

The next day I was nearly totally back to normal, except that my skin was flaking even more (which was normal when my skin is recovering from eczema), but at least it does not hurt any more. I can even turn my head normally. Now, all signs of that hellish experience were gone, except that my skin is now drying exceptionally fast. The skin would start to flake seconds after I dried myself after a shower. What the-???

I still shudder when I think back about that hellish experience. For now, my skin is OK, but who knows when will the eczema strike back?

Wish List:

1) Cure for eczema

2) The power of self-regeneration

3) The power of time manipulation

4) The power of light manipulation

5) To own a mansion / castle

6) The list goes on

WE WON!!!!!

Is there any other way to put it? HCIBand got a Certificate of Distinction in SYF 2008! We also got [***] marks, which makes us the [*******] band. Uhh… we aren’t supposed know the marks yet, so I will only be posting it up when the results have been officially released.

I think that we did quite well, but we screwed up certain parts, eg the march-off was quite messy. All of us knew we had to wheel (turning direction while marching as a whole band), but no-one knew when to wheel, and also half of the Sec 2 cohort did not know how to wheel. The DM also did not let us practice wheeling, so… the result is that the band turned from a square block into a rhombus block after the march-off. Also during the performance, GBK fell down while kneeling and I think HQ dropped his clarinet.

Congrats to Yuying Sec School Band, their performance was quite good too. Especially their Di Tanjong Katong. Also congrats to Tanjong Katong Sec School Band, their performance was TOTAL OWNAGE, but in the end Deyi got Top Display Band. I didn’t see Deyi’s performance as we were outside the stadium, but in my opinion TK really done well.

Some reflections…

I can only say that the hard work really paid off. To think about all the hours spent doing outdoor practices, either in the blazing sun, strong wind or drizzling rain, it was a colossal nightmare of a notion to me when I first entered HCIBand. But I still endured. I never did regret making the choice to enter HCIBand, even though it meant I have to do outdoor practice, something I have never done before in my whole life until the point of time when I entered the band.

Victory tastes sweet on my tongue. I still remember the moment when I stepped up onto the field to start our march-in. It seemed so surreal. Even till now the SYF seemed like a dream. Quoting from our instructor, Mr Siao, “Treat every practice like the competition, so that you will treat the competition like a practice”. I guess I had really done that. The feeling of nausea and nervousness never came while I was performing on the field. Everything just came naturally to me, just like a practice. I guess most of the people in the block were like that too. What a pity not all of the performers could treat this competition like a practice. But it was still ok, wasn’t it? We still won!

Expecting a two-week break from band after this… guess now that SYF is over, there will be less outdoor practices, and I could relax finally. But we still have to perform the same thing during the HCI-Nanyang Sports Meet, to “impress our neighbours” (quoting Mrs Lai).

Celebrated with others (including BJ, BX and Zhi Tao) at KAP after we came back from the stadium. Also watched The Matrix when I came back from SALT Centre.

Finally, thanks to everyone who came to support us during SYF.

Projects Day just passed two days ago. I think that we did quite ok. However several things pissed me off.

Firstly, as some of you might know, my dislike for [***] has not yet diminished. While Zhao Hong and I were discussing our project on Monday, that person came very, very late. I had to find an excuse to give him the job of pressing the spacebar only during the presentation, because as some of you might know, his presentation skills SERIOUSLY SUCKS!!! Also Mrs Sow supported the idea of just letting him doing the spacebar-pressing, because it wasn’t semi-finals yet and not all of the group members were needed to present.

However, he had the nerve to call me at night and demand a place for him in the presentation. Something like this:

[***]: Hello? …

Me: Hello, yes I am Zi Qian.

[***]: I’m [***] …

Me: Yes I know.

[***]: I’ve seen your script…

Me: Yes? What about it?

[***]: I think that the judges want all of us to present… (curtly)

Me: No, this is not semi-finals yet. Not all of us need to present. There is no oral defense.

[***]: Can you give me something to present?

Me: (fuming) Sure, we’ll talk about it tomorrow. Bye.

What the #$%^? Is he really that lag that he does not know that his presentation skills SUCKS??? That’s not all, the next day I dutifully arranged a part for him to present and after three rounds of rehearsing he managed to screw it up during the prelims presentation.

During the prelims (as quoted by Mrs Sow) Zhao Hong was quite ok, I spoke a bit too fast, and [***]… not so good. Ah well. Zhao Hong and I had expected the judges to ask a lot of questions, like about the endophytes, the solid phase fermentation and others… but the judges (consisting of J Loh, Ms Boey and LooCC) just asked a question on how we are supposed to extract 73+ samples in such a short period of time. Can be worrying also, since if the judges ask little / no questions that means the presentation is either 好到没话讲 or烂到没话讲. But there is a high chance that we’ll pass. (I hope!)

The Projects Day was on April Fool’s Day, a day where we’re supposed to enjoy and play pranks, but they managed to turn it into such a monotonous and stressful day.

Another thing that pissed me off happened on Monday, during lunch. I was walking back with my food when I saw Wei Yao throwing someone’s bag onto the floor. I then sat down on the bench and started to eat. Suddenly I felt someone kick my back (hard!) and said, “Why the #$%^ did you throw my bag down?!!” I felt so stunned! There were teachers around! Wei Yao then said “Not he throw one lah!” Then the a**h*** said, “Then you sit at my #$%^ing place loh! #$%^ off lah!” I was so angry I couldn’t speak, I just stormed off as far as possible. I just remembered that he wore specs and looked like someone I know. What the #$%^! Like he monopolized that stupid bench! But then my anger receded very quickly, but the injustice still rankled. Too bad he was gone when I went back. I wonder why my nature does not allow me to keep hatreds. Even my dislike towards [***], so intense at the start of the year, has somewhat mellowed. I think my temper is like water, conflicting with ZK, who is like fire.

Yesterday the SMP was, for once, slack. Soek Hui said that this was the first time that we did not touch pipettes at all. We just sat there and did data analysis. I found out that I screwed up the data for the bacteria assay that I did last week! >_<

Today my group (Shi-Jie, Javan, Bo Jun, Bo Xiang, me, and [***]) did a presentation on Communism. I think that it was pretty good, considering that we did not even rehearse the skit on Animal Farm once, and that our presentation was incomplete, thanks to [***]. However I think that half the class did not know what we were talking about during the Animal Farm skit, because half the class didn’t read the book before. The presentation took up a full 40-min period.

Just now (about 4 pm) I decided to go to Beauty World Plaza to change the size of my black pants. It was raining lightly at first, but when I reached there it was raining freaking heavily. My sandals got wet. (T_T) My bag, shirt, pants, in fact everything on me was wet even though I brought an umbrella. Even ZK’s bank book was wet. T_T again. When I brought the pants there, the uncle told me that he could only expand it to 31 inches, while my size is 32. Well, better than nothing. He charged me 6 dollars only and told me to collect it on Saturday. Arrghh! I will need the pants on Saturday morning! Guess I’ll have to borrow. >_<. The return trip was no better, in fact my shirt, pants and bag got very drenched. Sigh~

Also got notice that the boarding school kindly sponsored every Sec 3 boarder to go for a $35 dining etiquette course. Which is compulsory. For Hall A HCI it will be on next Tuesday. We will be leaving around 5 pm, so that means I can leave early during band practice.

When I am typing this, I am constantly reminded about the Chemistry test tomorrow. Guess that’s all for now. I have to mug.

Dtai’Kai-dte sa-de nau’gkon dtain’aun bpi-de,

1) 陈元财老师 had some important mission going on, Founder’s Day and stuff, so he got replaced by a trainee teacher, 吴良洲老师, for the first 8 weeks. He seems to be a quite good person.

2) Mrs Rosalind Lee went to Beijing, got relieved by Daniel Siew. *Mixed feelings*

3) J Loh will be going for reservice, forgot when. Dunno whether there will be a relieve teacher…

Well. Today we presented on a thought experiment, given to us by Dan Siew yesterday. Also found out that my political stand is slightly left-wing libertarian. ^_^ Always thought I was a libertarian.

Also today’s SMP is a bit boring. Like I said, we couldn’t continue streaking bacteria forever… so today we followed our co-supervisor and another NYP student to pluck a flower 4 / 5 blocks away from the lab, and then pipetted fungal extract into mini test tubes. Basically very slack, but reached HCIBS at 7 pm. >_<

Last time the sabbaticals (Oops! forgot to talk about it) was quite fun, but I think that XH was being a bit of a dictator. Nevertheless we did a nice project, about F1 racing in space. Considering that we were beginner 3DSMax users. I did the planets (see below) and I thought it was quite nice. The racing “cars” was nice too.

The planets that I did.

The “car” that I and XH did.

Also the Band Camp last week was … ok. The juniors in my section are Aloysius and Kai Chen. Aloysius is freaking talkative!!! He is also obsessed with piccolos. Kai Chen more 乖. Anyway we did Machu Picchu for the only indoor, damn nice song. The rest were outdoor, outdoor, outdoor… Got owned by TK band in the exchange. *Weeps*

Back to this week. Now I have a sort of MadTV video downloading craze. Favourites: Your Beautiful, Memoirs of a Geisha, Tickle Me Emo, iPhone, Terminator.

Going to have CIP tomorrow. To some crappy Jurong West place when some people are having fun during Founder’s Day celebration. *Weeps*

Friday will be Good Friday. Yay! Can spam games all day. (Rhyme unintended)

That’s all for now.

Dtai’Kai-dte sa-de nau’gkon dtain’aun bpi-de,

This year’s Aphelion Nite was from 28 Feb to 29 Feb. As usual, I went to Kah Kee Hall at about 6 pm (although we were supposed to gather by 6.30 pm, some people said that there was the Aphelion room opening ceremony at 6 pm, while it was scheduled on 5.15 pm, so I reached there damn early.) Was feeling damn sian for the half hour, partially because I was not looking forward to the Nite and the EOTA the next day. Talking to Bian He about the Gundam Seed Destiny Game was fun.

Aph Nite started at about 6.45 (not sure cos I seldom wear watches) with the usual, DC and ADC speech. The first performance was by Sec 1A (only sec 1 class to perform, I think), which sucked, cos they sang shouted “I live in Singapura”. Next were 2A, 3A1, 4A… lost track.

The performance by 4B rocked, in my opinion. They did a mass dance which corresponded to the dance moves used in a Bollywood vampire show. It was very hilarious, but then their form teacher, Miss Sunita, was not very happy about the dance. ?Puzzlement? I did not know what was wrong about doing a dance based on a Bollywood show, since in my opinion Bollywood shows are quite nice, and their mass dance moves were very together.

The rest were very boring (in my opinion, again), for example the Council skits, which were very stupid. Last year’s Mario skit was a lot nicer. People were waving light sticks and forming vulgarities. The St Nick’s performance was also not too good, compared to the performance by St Nick’s when I was Sec 1. They have more potential than this. In the annual Aph Nite performance, I mean.

At the end, the Sec 4 batch song was “Superman”. Quite nice, I wonder what will our batch song be? We also sang “朋友” again. They have been letting us sing this crappy song for the past three years, when will they change it??? Certainly much better songs than 朋友 rite?

The sleepover was quite uneventful, except that the Sec 2s beside our class were playing a kind of stupid game that sounded like verbal baby DoTA. They were like yelling and screaming since abt 4.30 am (when I woke up). Complained to their chairman (incidentally my junior in CCA); but still can’t do anything abt it since Aph Nite already over. Hopefully the next batches will be more considerate.

Anyway our End Of Term Activity for this year was dragon boating (or DB for short). I felt that it was a waste of time, compared to the sec 2’s ice-skating, which should be damn fun. When it rained (small) in the morning, I was quite happy because if it turns large, then we won’t need to do DB. However there weren’t any wet weather programme; what if the substitute activity was even suckier? Eventually the rain stopped at around 8. *Mixed feelings*

Went to Kallang for DB, heard from seniors that it was quite smelly there. When we reached we saw something like a cesspool, but we walked to the actual place for DB, which was a bay. à Saltwater. *Mixed feelings again*

Did the usual: put on life jackets, took oar, received instructions. The only big mistake I did was to take along my water bottle, since I didn’t use it during DB and it got drenched by saltwater! à Cleaning to do.

We had around 2 hours of DB to do. Instructors told us how to row, backpaddle, stop the boat, etc. We would then do a race in the end. Each boat can hold around 20 people, excluding instructor and rudder-man. The routine was like this:

Row, row, row -> Hit and run -> Gang instructor -> Row, row, row -> Hit and run -> Gang instructor -> Row, row, row -> Alliance with oncoming boat “Gang the red one (3Q boat)!” -> Row, row, row à Gang instructor… and so on.

The “Gang instructor” part was initiated mainly by Justin, which I think is a bit too much. The instructor was not bad and he did nothing wrong to us. Anyway once the bailing can fell out of the boat and nearly sank. The instructor retrieved it for us. -_-

I think we lost the race. -_- -_-

Changed into school uniform later, cos I was drenched from top to toe with saltwater. Like there was someone who wasn’t. Oh, yeah, Ian. This EOTA sucked. -_- -_- -_-

I really hope we will have a better one next year.

This weekend, ZK went to scout hike, so I had two days with the computer to myself!

Which meant:

-Playing GSD

Unfortunately it came down to only:

-Playing GSD

-Playing GTA

Not bad, considering I passed a lot of challenges and finally used Astray Gold Custom to defeat Hard Mode in GSD, and also passed 4+ missions in GTA. However, the real important things (blogging and rewriting scores) were not done! >_<

Reflecting on my results:

Chinese – A1

Which makes an MSG of 1.875 for now. Not bad, considering some who got MSG of 2-3 because they chose the wrong IHE. ^_^ Haha ^_^

Finally managed to start posting on this blog, after creating this blog one month earlier. For those of you who know me, I once went under the blog name of ferralucis.blogspot.com, though that blog has already died out (why? Maybe because blogspot has such stupid themes, and I didn’t have Internet connection from my room back then). For those of you who doesn’t know me, I am Low Zi Qian, male, currently age 14+, living in Hwa Chong Institution Boarding School in Singapore, studying in HCI Sec 3 CSE. For more information, go to my old blog and see the first post.

I have several likes and dislikes as the new year arrived. Firstly, I have taken a great liking to AVP. Some people say it is irrational. However, I have taken some of my time to create a font file based on the language of the Predators, though it differs from the font file that can be found online by a little. Secondly, I have also taken a liking to creating ciphers. To know the kind of cipher I use, compare my current blog name to my old one. I may or may not use this cipher or the Predator font file to post on this blog. Depends on my mood, really. I also started to like surrealist art a lot. Like Salvador Dali and Giger.

I will try to post regularly, and I certainly don’t hope that this blog doesn’t die away, like my last one. However, this can be quite hard to manage as I have a really tight schedule, as can be seen below:

Timetable for Term 1:

(Actually there is Indoor band from 2.00 to 6.00, but I have to give it up as there is Malay. Oh, hateful Malay lessons. >_<)

Wednesday: 8.00 Chinese, 9.20 Break, 10.00 Assembly, 11.20 Econs, 12.40 Break, 1.20 Social Studies, 2.00 Research Module, 4.00 Science Mentorship Program at Nanyang Polytechnic, Ends at 6.00 pm but arrive at Boarding School around 7.00 pm. (>_< also as I am doing the project with the hateful person and Zhao Hong)

Thursday: 8.00 Olympiad Maths Training with Prof Xu (hate him hate him hate him), 10.00 Chinese, 10.40 Break, 12.00 English, 1.20 Break, 2.00 Social Studies, 2.40 Chemistry Tutorial, Ends at 4.00 pm.

Saturday: 8.00 Outdoor Band, Ends at 12.00 pm.

Although this timetable may be changed in Term 2, I suspect there won’t be much difference.

Right. About the events that just passed…

Cross-country today. It rained in the morning, but the rain subsided so it progressed at 8 am. Originally I hoped for a huge rain that lasted for a whole day, so the event would be staggered, but after weighing pros and cons I thought it would be better if the event were to start today, as the whole day’s program will be screwed up if there wasn’t any X-country. Because of the rain the route was shortened from 4.3 km to 2.4 km. Yahoo!

The route was as follows for non-competitive runners:

Run around track 1 round => Run to the edge of the drain surrounding field => Run along drain until reach the edge of field => Run back onto the far side of the track => Run to the gate at swimming pool => Run out of gate => Run along the pavement towards JC => Run in to the JC through gate (the one nearer to Coro Plaza) => Run along the road in JC => Run up the slope to clock tower => End.

Quite ok, for my standard. I ran without walking until I reached the JC. Then I had a horrible pain in my right ankle that increases proportionately if I ran, especially up slope, so I walked for most of the rest of the route. After the race, there is a Milo van (a bit like the sports event in Primary School). Then there was the prize presentation, congrats to Chern Yuen for getting 4th. After the prize presentation, there was the Malay Test! OMG…

I screwed up. I think that the compo part was too limiting, as there was only 1 question. And it was about sports, definitely not my forte. I just scribbled (more of a 鬼画符) some things about soccer, badminton and table tennis onto the foolscap.

Yeah, about the tests… I got quite good grades, at least for the subjects that have been given out, which are Chinese, Bio, Chem, Physics and Maths. Still have English, Malay, Econs and Social Studies to go. Current MSG: 1.2. Not bad…

I am looking forward to next week’s sabbaticals. I got into Virtual Reality course, pre-booked with Ms Gwee, along with Bo Jun and Bo Xiang. So I didn’t need to go through the bidding part. Virtual Reality should be quite fun, although I know next to nothing about things like 3D design and VR design. Well, there’s still time to learn.

Time to sign off now. Shouldn’t have rambled too much, especially for the first post. Sorry about that.
